Savannah Cafe - Reservation Add on Only
Safari West’s Savannah Café is not available to the general public and is permitted only to provide dining services for those guests who have already booked a tour, overnight stay or other activity on property.
If you do request or book a meal only online, a reservation agent will call you to book a safari tour or overnight stay. If that is not possible we will provide you with an immediate refund. We do apologize for any disappointment.
Groups of 10 or more, there will be an automatic 18% service charge which goes directly to the restaurant staff. It will be added on and charged to the credit card on file once the reservations department receives your confirmation.
Our meal reservations and dining experiences are subject to limited availability. Because of this, Lunch and/or Dinner reservations need to be made at least 48 hours prior to arrival.
Guests can dine indoors in our Elephant Room or our Savannah Café where you’ll dine surrounded by African murals and artifacts. Or you may prefer to sit outdoors on the veranda with its African “boma” (fire pit), custom-made wooden tables, and vine-covered arbors while overlooking our Sonoma Savannah. Guests may enjoy carefully chosen California wines featuring both Sonoma and Napa Counties and selected South African wines and fine ports. We also feature a variety of brews from local Sonoma County and California’s best breweries and selected South African beers.
Regarding special dietary requirements, such as gluten-free or nut allergies:
Safari West makes every effort to accommodate the special dietary requirements of our guests. Although our Chef pays close attention to sourcing, preparation, and handling of our food, there is no guarantee for completely allergy free food. We can provide gluten, peanut, and nut-free options. However, we are not able to guarantee that there is no cross-contamination of utensils and other preparation tools. Our kitchen is not configured with separate preparation areas. If you or a member of your party have a severe allergy, intolerance or severe dietary restriction, we do not recommend dining at Safari West.

We do ask that you arrive and check in at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start of your meal. This additional time allows for restroom use prior to the meal.

And, for a quick refueling, check out Delilah’s snack bar. Fine wine and/or brews plus soft drinks are also available at Delilah's.
Please note - The Savannah Café is not a full service restaurant and is only available for our lodging, tours or lecture guests.
Outside picnic food/baskets are not permitted on the grounds.
Important...Things to know before you arrive!
We do recommend that you wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes as we do have pathways made of dirt and gravel. Depending on the weather a jacket and layering may be advised.
Please do feel free to bring your camera to take as many pictures as you would like.
We do ask that you do NOT bring your pets to Safari West. If you do bring them, you will be required to reschedule your reservation to a different date.
Service Animals
We are a wildlife preserve. For your safety and the well-being of our animals and staff, service animals may not accompany you anywhere on the Safari Tour nor are they permitted to stay in your vehicle.
We do have one kennel available. Guests who require a service animal need to call (707) 579-2551 at least 72 hours in advance in order to notify the office and reserve the kennel.
Please note: without adequate notice, we cannot guarantee that we will have the kennel available and you would need to reschedule your visit.
Reservations require a credit card, and the full tour cost will be charged at the time of booking.
